Instruction for Use

Surface Preparation :All surfaces must be sound and thoroughly clean before FAP TILEFIX applied. All traces of grease or oil must be removed with a chemical degreaser. All loose particles of mortar, old wall paper, paint etc. must be physically removed.

Mixing : Add 25 kg Powder to 5 litre clean water and mix with a slow speed drill until a uniform, lump – free consistency is achieved.

Application : Apply TILE FIX to a uniform thickness of 3 mm to 6 mm on the support to cover the slots on the back of the tiles on an area of not more than 1m2 at a time. The trowel should have 6 mm notches at 25 mm intervals centre to centre. Apply the tile, press it, and smooth out carefully so that the mortar is spread evenly. If the bonding is perfect, the tile will not slide. The joint can be filled with FAP Tile Joint.

Coverage

Approximately 5 kg/m2 for 3mm bed thickness.

Health & Safety

As with all chemical products, caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing, Such as gloves and goggle, should be worn. Should any of the products be accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomit but call for medical assistance immediately. Ensure the container is available for the medical attendant to examine any relevant instructions and contents details. Reseal all containers after use and ensure product is stored as instructed on the safety section of the labeling.
