Adhesive For Marbles, Granites & Natural Stone

Marboflex is polymer modified cement based adhesive, especially formulated fixing of marble, granite & natural stone on walls & floors. Marboflex is suitable for application on common substrates such as concrete, brickworks, screeds, and gypsum boards and plywood etc.

Instruction for Use

Surface Preparation: Surface should be clean, free of dust oil & grease. Loosely adhering particle should be removed by suitable means. The surface should be completely dry & dry before application.

Mixing: Marboflex is to be added to clean container use about 5 to 5.5 liter of water per 20 kg of Marboflex. Use a slow speed drill with spiral mixing paddle for getting a lump free, smooth, easily workable mortar, which is homogenous.

Application: The size of the notch will depend on the thickness of the adhesive bed required to install the marble/granites/stone. In case very large heavy marble/granites/stone, it is recommended to apply adhesive on the back of the tiles also. During solid bed fixing dampen the substrates if very hot but do not saturate. During the application tile should be dry. Marble, granites and other natural stone tiles are firmly bedded with slight twisting action to ensure full contact is made between tile and substrates. Ensure that tiles are fixed within 30 minutes of mixing the product.

Coverage

Coverage varies with bed thickness, undulation, porosity of the tile. Average 5 kg/m2 for 3 mm bed thickness is possible.

Storage

Keep away from direct sunlight/moisture and store under normal warehouse condition.

Cleaning

Clean all tools & equipments with water immediately after use.

Health & Safety

As with all chemical products, caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing, Such as gloves and goggle, should be worn. Should any of the products be accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomit but call for medical assistance immediately. Ensure the container is available for the medical attendant to examine any relevant instructions and contents details. Reseal all containers after use and ensure product is stored as instructed on the safety section of the labeling.
