FAP GUARD SB is a high quality general purpose fast drying solvent based bitumen paint which gives a black coating when dries. It provides an effective waterproof and corrosion resistant protective coating for concrete, steel, iron, brickworks and stone etc.

Application

FAP GUARD SB should be thoroughly stirred before use and applied to the substrate by brush roller or spray. A minimum of two coats should be applied, the first being allowed to dry prior to application of the second coat. Second application should be applied at right angles to ensure complete, even coverage.

Uses

• Used as a bitumen based protective coating for concrete and metal.
• Used as damp proof courses and lining to potable water tank and pipes.
• Concrete curing by water retention and corrosion protection to metal surface.

Properties

• Colour : Black.
• Consistency: Paintable.
• Specific Gravity: 0.90 – 1.00.
• Drying Time:4 hour at 250C.

Cleaning

Tools and equipment may be cleaned using xylene. Spillages must be wiped off surfaces before the coating has cured.

Coverage

Consumption rates of FAP GUARD SB will vary according to substrate, porosity and texture. In all cases, at least two coats are recommended.

Health & Safety

As with all chemical products, caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing such as gloves and goggle should be worn. Should any of the products be accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomit but call for medical assistance immediately. Ensure the container is available for the medical attendant to examine any relevant instructions and content details. Reseal all containers after use and ensure that the product is stored as instructed on the safety section of the labeling.
